In the Newspaper, “Another Excuse for More Gun Control” by Jacob G. Hornberger, where he expresses another point of view on having gun control. The author points out the fact that if we take away the gun from normal citizens, then we would be defenseless against that law breakers who don’t follow laws, to begin with after all they didn’t follow the law from before what makes you think they will start listening to the law now. This will result in a situation where only the criminals own a gun and we have nothing to defend ourselves with. The author also use an analogy to help us understand the danger of establishing gun control.
When I read this newspaper it helped me realize someone else point of view when it comes to having gun control. I agree with the situation that the author gives since crimanls never followed the laws to begin with why would they change now. There also the fact they would be able to sneak in guns just the same as drugs. We have establish drugs to be bad and banned most of them but yet there people out there still smuggling them in, now image the danger if instead of drugs it was gun. This newspaper strength my point of view on go aginst banning guns from America.
As I continued to learn more about another point of view when it comes to gun control it makes me question what do we need to do in order to keep America safe.
